Journey into high tech and influence

  • Started in Wells Fargo, which marks beginning of her high tech journey for one year

  • Switched into HP and worked for 8 years with 5 different positions

    • Cost accountant

    • Financial assistant

    • Program manager

    • Purchasing manager

    • Manager business planning

  • Switched to Qualcomm and worked for 14 years

  • Switched to Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Director of marketing sales for 3 years and still going

Goals of the companies

  • HP Inc.: create technology that makes life better for everyone, every where

  • Qualcomm.: inventing the tech the world loves

  • Thermo fisher scientific: enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, safer

Similarities between her main 3 companies:

  • Doing something that the world wants, and benefits the ecosystem

  • Helping people with their retirement plan

  • She felt that the impact she was doing with these jobs and companies was benefiting the world in a better way

  • Her jobs were generational and life changing because of the impact

  • All the companies had a system like Mr. Mort has in our class with the scrum teams

  • Begins to intro to DevOps, transitioned to Qualcomm (2014)

    • DevOps is a key role in tech-based companies to make sure everything wanted goes on your page successfully and is secure

  • Working at twitter (2021)
